Well, after two days of travel, I'm back home. Let's see what's been going on since I was gone... Hm. OK... yeah.
At Fanfest, we saw some pretty cool graphs of when ship destruction in New Eden has been up recently (Asakai, Battle of Caldari Prime). Wonder what the graph would have looked like last week? Trolling through the kill-boards, it looks like not very many of you were out there blowing things up. ;-)
Kill of the week honors have to go to this, though:
The Phantasm is very occasionally my kryptonite when it comes to pirate faction cruisers. While I certainly prefer the Ashimmu, I used to occasionally pull out a Phantasm for shield roams. It does good DPS and you can fit a strong buffer tank on it, about 500 DPS and 50k EHP, respectively. Before "good crusiers" became almost literally a dime a dozen, the Phantasm was a good ship for a lot of different theme fleets. What was nice about it was that you didn't have to try to wedge on a lot of faction or dead-space crap to make a worthwhile fitting.
Yeah, about that...
Best this about this guy is that he apparently springs up out of the ground, sees his shadow, loses several really expensive ships, then hibernates for a few months. Not much in the way of honorable mentions this week, though! As I said, there weren't a lot of you out there losing ships. And that included...
Number of dead super-caps last week: 0
Not a single super died during Fanfest week. Sad face. Matter of fact, only a handful of expensive ships of any type died from the 24th to the 29th. King of those losses as probably this incursion Nightmare ganked Friday afternoon.
Everyone back from Fanfest? Good. Get out there and generate some explosions!
